The medical software AI-based Fluid Monitor of company RetInSight provides automatic analysis of OCT scans and was developed at the Department of Ophthalmology and Optometry of the Medical University Vienna. It uses artificial intelligence to quantitatively monitor degenerative changes in the retina, which is more precise and much faster than the conventional way. ACMIT supported the project with usability engineering activities and the corresponding documentation for submission.
The software is being commercially developed by RetInSight GmbH, a spin-off company from the Medical University Vienna and will be approved in Europe. The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) supported the pre-foundation phase for market entry.
