ACMIT is pleased to announce its participation in the 30th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Engineering Systems (INES 2026), which will be held from July 2–4, 2026, at the Aquaworld Resort in Budapest, Hungary.

The conference will bring together leading researchers and innovators from around the world to discuss the latest developments in intelligent systems, artificial intelligence, robotics, and engineering technologies.

ACMIT will be represented by Prof. h.c. Dr. Gernot Kronreif (CSO of ACMIT), who will give a plenary presentation titled “Medical Robotics – Where Do We Stand Today, and Where Are We Headed?” on July 2, 2026.

The presentation will review the development of medical robotics over the past three decades, highlighting its increasing role in improving precision, reducing invasiveness, and enhancing patient outcomes. It will outline key advances and clinical applications, as well as ongoing challenges such as cost, regulation, and integration into clinical workflows. In addition, it will address emerging trends, including artificial intelligence and soft robotics, and discuss barriers to translating promising concepts into practical medical solutions.

ACMIT’s contribution reflects its ongoing engagement in international research on medical robotics and intelligent engineering systems.
