Longtime ACMIT supporter and partner, Prof. Kevin Cleary, Ph.D. visited ACMIT on June 16, 2023.
Prof. Kevin Cleary is the Engineering Director and Bioengineering Initiative of Sheikh Zayed Pediatric Surgical Innovation Institute in the Children’s National Hospital in Washington/DC, USA.
The Medical Robotics Laboratory led by Prof. Cleary focuses on the development of novel biomedical devices to improve children’s health and care. Together with their clinical partners, they determine needs, create prototypes and introduce new technologies into patient care. The main research areas include medical robotics, medical devices and mobile apps.
During his visit, not only the joint projects were discussed, but Prof. Cleary also gave an overview of the current work of his research group.
