ACMIT and its partners are pleased to announce the official launch of PROMPT, an EIC Transition-funded project dedicated to developing next-generation robotic technology for minimally invasive endovascular interventions.
The project commenced with an online kick-off meeting in April 2026, followed by an in-person consortium meeting held on 26–27 May 2026 in Leuven, Belgium. This gathering brought together all project partners to align on the overall project vision, technical roadmap, clinical requirements, regulatory strategy, and the first implementation steps.
Within the PROMPT consortium, ACMIT takes a leading role in the development of a regulatory-compliant medical device. ACMIT is primarily responsible for advancing the product towards market approval and providing comprehensive support in regulatory affairs, ensuring that all development activities meet the necessary standards and requirements.
PROMPT brings together a strong consortium with complementary expertise:
- KU Leuven, Belgium – Project coordination, scientific and engineering leadership
- ACMIT Gmbh, Austria – Regulatory strategy, manufacturing, and medical device development
- Azienda Ospedale Università Padova, Italy – Clinical expertise and validation
- UZ Leuven, Belgium – Clinical expertise and validation
Together, ACMIT and its partners aim to advance innovative robotic solutions that enable safer, more precise, and more accessible endovascular treatments, ultimately improving outcomes for patients and supporting clinical practice.
