We are pleased to announce the publication on the first-in-eye study of the RayOne Galaxy intraocular lens (IOL), an innovative solution designed with artificial intelligence to provide a smooth, continuous range of vision.

The paper entitled: “Performance of the First Spiral Refractive Intraocular Lens for Continuous Full Range of Vision” was published in the Journal of Refractive Surgery, Vol. 41, No. 11, 2025.

A key aspect of this research was the use of the RALV (DEZIMAL GmbH) device, which enables real-time, patient-specific simulation of visual performance with prototype IOL models under realistic viewing conditions prior to implantation. This approach allowed for detailed comparison of the Galaxy IOL with a diffractive trifocal IOL, assessing visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, defocus curves, and photic phenomena.

Clinical results confirmed excellent visual acuity across all distances, minimal halo and glare, and high patient comfort, marking a significant advancement in IOL technology.
