ACMIT researcher, Laszlo Jaksa successfully completed his Ph.D. on 6th of June, 2023 at the Vienna University of Technology, in Vienna.
The title of his Ph.D. thesis was: “Development of an Additive Manufacturing System for Producing Tissue-Mimicking Materials“.
In the medical field, anatomical models are becoming increasingly important. They are used in the development of medical devices as well as to provide an advanced solution for education of clinicians.
Laszlo focused in his scientific work on 3D printing development and testing, production of improved realistic anatomical models. The use of silicone printing and multi-material structuring techniques in the field of 3D-printed anatomic models was established, offering new opportunities for customization and increased realism in medical education, device development and preoperative planning.
