Women in Data Science (WiDS) Villach, Austria is an independent regional initiative of WiDS at Stanford University. WiDS started as a conference at Stanford in November 2015. Today, WiDS encompasses a global conference with over 200 regional events worldwide. The mission of WiDS is to change the field of data science across the globe by elevating and empowering women to achieve 30% representation in education, innovation and leadership by 2030.
Ass.-Prof. Dr. Sepideh Hatamikia was invited to this conference as a keynote speaker and gave a talk with the title „Revolutionizing Radiology: Exploring the Synergy of Data Science and AI in Shaping the Future of Medical Imaging“.

In addition, Dr. Sepideh Hatamikia organized one of the three workshops of the conference entitled: „Basics of medical image analysis“ and was part of the organization team of this conference. In addition to her, Eashrat Jahan Muniya (PhD student under supervision of Dr. Hatamikia) participated in the conference and helped in organizing the workshop.
