On Friday, 24 April 2026, Austria will once again open its doors to science enthusiasts of all ages during the nationwide Long Night of Research (LNF). As the country’s largest event dedicated to science LNF offers visitors free access to research institutions, universities, and companies across all nine federal states.
Running from 5 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., the event invites guests to explore thousands of program points, including hands‑on experiments, guided tours, workshops, live presentations, and interactive demonstrations.
ACMIT is pleased to announce its participation in this year’s event. ACMIT will host one dedicated station at a separate exhibition location in the TFZ – (Technologie- und Forschungszentrum) in Wiener Neustadt (Building A 1. Stage), featuring the innovative RALV System (Real Artificial Lens Vision © DEZIMAL GmbH).
Station Theme: “Can you test your future vision with an intraocular lens before surgery?”
At this stand, visitors will discover how advanced ophthalmic simulation technology enables patients to preview the outcome of lens-implant procedures — improving decision‑making, enhancing patient counselling, and increasing confidence before surgery.
The station will be open from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The RALV station invites all visitors to explore how medical research can be transformed into practical solutions that directly support both patients and clinicians.
By participating, ACMIT supports the national effort to increase public awareness of cutting‑edge research and to inspire future generations of scientists, engineers, and innovators.
