The “Robotics Talk Niederösterreich” will be organised on 28th of April 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Technology and Research Center, Wiener Neustadt by GMAR (Austrian Society for Measurement, Automation and Robotics). Interesting topics from all areas of robotics will be presented and networking of industry and academic partners will be provided by the event.
ACMIT will be represented by Wolfgang Ptacek with a lecture titled: “Pathopsy™ Center – Todesursachenanalyse mit dem Virtobot“.
The Virtobot system was developed together with the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Zurich. A ceiling-mounted robotic arm scans the corpse in 3D and takes tissue and fluid samples for analysis automatically, to determine the cause of death without a subsequent autopsy. ACMIT and its partners would like to establish this technology in pathology within the framework of the Pathopsy™ Center in order to improve treatment procedures.
