The 14th edition of Conference on New Technologies for Computer/Robot Assisted Surgery (CRAS 2025) will take place at the University of Lisbon, in Portugal from September 10 to 12, 2025.

Surgical robotics aims to improve surgical practice and outcomes through new tools that enhance safety, reproducibility, gestural performance, and ergonomics. Millions of patients have benefited from robot-assisted surgical procedures over the past three decades.

This 14th edition of CRAS invites contributions on advances in the following areas: virtual and augmented reality techniques applied to training, planning and assisted guidance; new techniques to introduce effective haptic feedback; new devices, new technologies and procedures for less invasive surgery and to facilitate the execution of complex surgical tasks; and artificial intelligence for planning, guidance and autonomous operations.

Dr. Gernot Kronreif, the Chief Scientific Officer at ACMIT, is a member of the CRAS organisational board.
