T\u00f3th, Tam\u00e1s Ruttkay, Tam\u00e1s Ferenci, Tam\u00e1s Ungi, G\u00e1bor Fichtinger &amp; Tam\u00e1s Haidegger<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Date of publication:<\/strong> 17 April 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper presents an explainable artificial intelligence (AI) ensemble model for detecting pneumothorax in lung ultrasound images, which was trained on a large, diverse dataset and achieved expert-level\u2014sometimes superior\u2014diagnostic accuracy, while providing interpretable visual outputs to support clinicians and reduce variability in emergency care decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are especially proud that the publication includes contributions from <strong>Prof. Dr. G\u00e1bor Fichtinger<\/strong>, member of the ACMIT Scientific Board and Key Researcher, and <strong>Prof. Dr. Tam\u00e1s Haidegger,<\/strong> ACMIT Research Area Manager.
