The 27th world\u2019s leading trade fair and congress for photonics components, systems, and applications, \u201cLaser World of Photonics 2025\u201d<\/a><\/strong>, took place from June 22 to 27, 2025, at the ICM \u2013 International Congress Center Munich, in Germany<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Europe\u2019s leading industry congress was complemented by three trade fairs: \u201cLaser World of Photonics\u201d, \u201cWorld of Quantum\u201d, and \u201cautomatics\u201d. The event includes five conferences with over 3,000 scientific presentations and poster sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GEYEDANCE project<\/a><\/strong> was introduced at the renowned event, on June 24, 2025 at 4 p.m. by Dr. Gernot Kronreif (project coordinator and CSO of ACMIT Gmbh)<\/strong> in a panel presentation entitled: \u201cGEYEDANCE \u2013 Robotics meets AI for eye surgical procedures“.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his lecture he gave a talk about the GEYEDANCE system, a bilateral teleoperated microsurgery platform that integrates OCT at the end effector of its remote manipulator, providing multi-modal feedback. The system enables intraoperative eye modelling and surface reconstruction using a neural network-based tool-to-tissue distance estimation module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
