ACMIT<\/strong> and its scientific & company partners<\/strong> have published a new paper in the Open Ceramics<\/strong> entitled \u201cAssessment of geometrical variability in 3D printed ZrO2: Effects of printing and thermal post-processing\u201d<\/strong>. 3D printing is developing rapidly and enables the production of parts manufactured using different materials. These includes zirconium dioxide (ZrO2), which can be of particular interest for bone tissue engineering and implantology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this study, the geometric accuracy of 3D-printed ZrO2 was investigated and experimental data was collected to enable to form a basis for further improvement of print files for more accurate print jobs. The paper sheds light on the complex interplay between overexposure effects, shrinkage, and dimensional variations in 3D printed ceramic parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
