Every year, innovative people from the HTL and University of Applied Sciences, Wiener Neustadt, from the R&amp;D facilities based at the TFZ Wiener Neustadt, as well as spin-off projects from companies located at the Technopol Wiener Neustadt are invited to take part in the innovation award organized by tecnet\/accent, ecoplus and the University of Applied Sciences, Wiener Neustadt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The innovation prizes were awarded by an expert jury in four categories, two further submissions were honoured by the University of Applied Sciences, Wiener Neustadt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>ACMIT team<\/strong> <strong>(Gunpreet Oberoi, Andrea Lorenz, Stefan Koschitz, Christoph Kment, Richard Kolonics, Herbert Wei\u00dfenb\u00f6ck, and Mario Wieser) <\/strong>were chosen as <strong>the winners in the category \u201cMedicine, Medical Technology, Innovations in Healthcare and Life Sciences\u201d with the project: \u201cImplantology training model for augmentative dental surgery\u201d<\/strong>. The prize was sponsored by tecnet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on patient-specific manufactured models, complex surgeries can be trained and optimized to improve patient safety. ACMIT\u2019s anatomical model for augmentative surgery offers various training options, e.g. implant placement, guided bone regeneration technology, augmentation, osteoplasty or retromolar bone block harvesting.
