The event brought together leading experts from science and industry at international level with the presence of the major European companies in the field of robotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The groundbreaking <strong>workshop<\/strong> titled <strong>&#8222;Translational Challenges of Soft Robotics in Medical Applications&#8220;<\/strong> will be organized by <strong>Arianna Menciassi<\/strong> and <strong>Linda Patern\u00f2 from Scuola Superiore Sant&#8217;Anna<\/strong>, and <strong>Gernot Kronreif from ACMIT<\/strong> at <strong>8:30 a.m. on 15<sup>th<\/sup> March,<\/strong> in the &#8222;Marina&#8220; room of the Palacongressi di Rimini as part of the prestigious ERF 2024 event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of this workshop is to explore scientific advances and translation challenges in soft robotics for medical applications. The search for compliant machines that can safely interact with the human body is increasingly required in medical applications. Significant research efforts in robotics have been directed toward the development of novel classes of devices allowed by the introduction of the soft robotics approach. The commercialization of such systems on the market remains virtually non-existent.
