Dr. Sepideh Hatamikia<\/strong> won the Innovation Award 2021\/2022<\/strong> in the category „Innovations in the fields of materials, surfaces, tribology, sensors and medical technology“ granted by Technopol, Wiener Neustadt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project titled \u201cCustomized 3D imaging – collision avoidance in CBCT for interventional imaging\u201d<\/strong> was the core element of her PhD thesis under supervision of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Birkfellner<\/strong> and Dr. Gernot Kronreif<\/strong>. It was funded by the Austrian Center for Medical Innovation and Technology (ACMIT)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this project, a new algorithm for computing personalized trajectories for CBCT imaging was developed. This paves the way for the next generation of the CBCT devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
