{"id":3697,"date":"2016-09-06T09:43:02","date_gmt":"2016-09-06T09:43:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.acmit.at\/?p=3697"},"modified":"2023-01-19T17:09:31","modified_gmt":"2023-01-19T16:09:31","slug":"acmit-at-the-european-forum-alpbach-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/acmit.at\/de\/acmit-at-the-european-forum-alpbach-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"ACMIT at the European Forum Alpbach 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following an invitation of the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (bmvit), ACMIT had the opportunity to present a project conducted within the Austrian Security Research Programme KIRAS at the European Forum Alpbach 2016.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>microSNIFF &#8211; Mobile Detection of critical substances for First Responders<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project microSNIFF has been funded by the Austrian security research programme KIRAS of the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (bmvit).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project idea<\/strong> was the development of a detection system for volatile critical substances as personnel protection equipment for first responders (e.g. firefighters, rescue teams, etc.).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project goals<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>warning of potential hazards<\/li>\n<li>first indication about the hazardous situation<\/li>\n<li>cost-efficient \u2013 affordable for various protection and security forces (dual-use)<\/li>\n<li>simple handling \u2013 should also increase the protection for untrained personnel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The developed demonstrator was presented at the bmvit-booth of the Technology Symposium of the European Forum Alpbach on the 25<sup>th<\/sup> of August 2016.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3706\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3706\" style=\"width: 522px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3706 \" src=\"http:\/\/www.acmit.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/bmvit_Stand.jpg\" alt=\"bmvit_Stand\" width=\"522\" height=\"348\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3706\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dr. Gernot Grimm (bmvit), Dr. Christian Krutzler (ACMIT), and Mag.
